It was after some indecision that I arrived at the term 'decorative artist'.  I have never been able to restrict myself to one medium or style and I seem to spend as much time pursuing derivative work as original.

Much of the work here has been executed purely for my own enjoyment, the rest has been to specific commissions.  I hesitate to class myself as a 'fine artist' but I hope I produce work that is pleasant to look at.  I enjoy making things and learning new craft skills notably gilding, screen printing, stained glass and textiles.  I enjoy large scale work and experimenting with pattern and colour in interior decoration.

I am always happy to consider commissions if I have the time available to devote to them.  I always try to price reasonably and the usual considerations are size and time taken to execute the work.

Some of my original paintings are available as cards and giclée prints.  Original screenprints of the pink Orchid and blue Peony are also available.
